A phone call from Claire's teacher
I received a phone call from Claire's teacher, Mis. Ho, during the dinner time talking about Claire's life in school and her very poor math score. Mis. Ho was worried about Claire's poor grade and would like to let me know what had happened to her in school. I was grateful for her concern about Claire. I thought that Claire has been a thoughtful and clever girl, so I was not pay too much attention to her-----but I was wrong! She has been backward in schoolwork lately. I knew that she has been the kind of person who tends to pay more attention to friendship than to schoolwork. I just don't know what to do to get her on the right track. Maybe it's time for me to keep an eye on her more often.
